How to migrate 75k users from on-prem to cloud: I have definitely not done this.
What actually happens when you are tasked with moving 75k users located in 22 datacentres onto a cloud based infrastructure? Can you do it whilst also removing all traces of your existing hypervisor stack from over 2500 hosts, in under 12 months? Why not attempt this whilst also undergoing a complete departmental re-organisation? Sean invites you to share in his pain, as he tries to provide the answers to these and many other questions, directly from the frontline.
Sean Corrigan. Sean has been in the EUC space for over 15 years, wearing all the hats from helpdesk trainee to architect. He has looked after environments ranging from 20 user MSP customers, to his current role, wrangling with the virtual platforms at a Fortune 500 financial. Cloud Storage with the Cost Burden
+
Legacy Architecture in the Cloud
In this session Alasdair will explore Cloud Storage options without the associate costs of Amazon and Azure. Better performance and fixed costs for better costs management.
Then discuss the option for running legacy architecture on modern hypervisors and the cloud. From PDP-11 systems, through VAS and DEC ALPHA, to HP PA-RISC and SPARC on running on x86 on premises hypervisors and native Cloud AWS and Azure. Migrate those old systems to resilient VMs without breaking any licensing rules.
Alasdair Crawford, Alasdair has a keen interest in technology. Ever since seeing the first mini computer being installed in the local council in the 1970’s he has had a passion for hardware and software integration. In the 90s, Alasdair founded his first business, which quickly grew and just before the millennium was purchased by their biggest client to bring the skill in-house. He was engaged with many projects before being approached for a consultant role at another company. Working alongside many other professionals as a consultant and contractor led him to pull people together and start a company focused on technology and business solutions – Auxilium was born.
With 30 years of IT experience and more to come, the current challenges still hold the same interest as they did the first time he sat in front of a computer. Outside of work, Alasdair enjoys mountain biking and open-water swimming, as well as fundraising for various charities.

PowerShell GUI for CVAD – One Tool.
Using all the standard applications to monitor and manage the CVAD platform, from requests coming in to deploy Virtual Apps and Desktops to XenServer Hypervisor can be stressful. Wanting to limit the number of consoles to do my job as a Citrix Administrator, and automate as much work as possible,

Optimizing Amazon WorkSpaces for Realtime Communication.
In this session, learn how to get the most out of virtual meetings when using Amazon WorkSpaces.
In today's evolving application landscape, most unified communication (UC) platforms offer a wide array of features. These include 1:1 and group chat rooms, file storage and sharing, live events and webinars, interactive screen sharing and control, whiteboarding, and offline audio/video messaging capabilities. When UC applications run within Amazon WorkSpaces, most functionalities require no additional fine-tuning or enhancement. However, it's essential to note that real-time communication elements, such as one-to-one calling and group meetings, are exceptions to this rule. Successfully incorporating these functions requires dedicated focus and planning during WorkSpaces deployment. We look forward to sharing our experience and best practices with attendees. This is a great opportunity to learn how to get the most out of your virtual meetings with Amazon WorkSpaces.
