On Saturday, November 4, 2023 there will be a Security Workshop delivered by Patrick Coble, from 15:00 to 19:00. That Security Workshop will cost 99 EUR. The Agenda for the Workshop:
This Workshop will walk you through the method that Patrick Coble the @VDIHacker uses to secure deployments in a pragmatic way to lower the impact and risk of these changes while drastically changing the security stance of your deployment. These settings can be used for your VDI\EUC deployment but also for all your desktops, member servers, and domain controllers because without securing them, you are leaving your company at risk. Most organizations are under some form of compliance bodies, but most don’t “harden” their systems they just apply policies to “make it work” and never go back. Lab Notes: We will send out the worksheet to everyone who attends the class along with the PowerShell scripts used to make the lab so you can make your lab and prepare your own test OU in your deployment to start the security journey.
As usual we will have many great sessions delivered by top experts in EUC industry.
Agenda will be available start of October 2023. We plan about 30-35 Session. With Friday, as usual, one track, Saturday 3 tracks and Sunday 2 tracks. Everyone is very welcome to volunteer to present, or just enjoy the event and learn from others.

In the context of multi-factor authentication, information about the user's device more and more plays an important role. Device posture has become a topic for all large vendors and customers alike. Let's take a look at our approach and why we believe, we can enrich a Zero Trust strategy - whilst keeping the user experience high!
We’ll show the basic function principles. Based on those, you’ll see how you can use your devices in an easy way to add security to your digital workspace access – whilst not requiring any user interaction. Of course, we’ll also chuck in the latest and greatest from development.

How to migrate 75k users from on-prem to cloud: I have definitely not done this.
What actually happens when you are tasked with moving 75k users located in 22 datacentres onto a cloud based infrastructure? Can you do it whilst also removing all traces of your existing hypervisor stack from over 2500 hosts, in under 12 months? Why not attempt this whilst also undergoing a complete departmental re-organisation? Sean invites you to share in his pain, as he tries to provide the answers to these and many other questions, directly from the frontline.
Sean Corrigan. Sean has been in the EUC space for over 15 years, wearing all the hats from helpdesk trainee to architect. He has looked after environments ranging from 20 user MSP customers, to his current role, wrangling with the virtual platforms at a Fortune 500 financial.
