Taming the performance troll with uberAgent!
In end-user computing the ingredient missing most often is visibility. Before you can even start to improve user experience you need to know where you stand. Are logons slow, applications performing badly, users complaining about crashes and delays? uberAgent is the perfect tool to answer those and many other questions. Based on a Splunk backend it combines quick and easy installation with high-quality metrics and a super-small footprint.  In this session, we demonstrate how to use the free consultant edition of uberAgent to quickly identify problems your customer did not even know existed. IoT & EUC. There’s a lot of talk about IoT these days. “Billions of connected devices” .. “big data” .. “going to change the world.” That’s all well and good, but what does it mean, really? If you’re an EUC person, do you care about IoT? Will it change your world? Can you ignore it? What about Citrix, VMware, and Microsoft talking about it? Does that mean anything to you? What does it have to do with Windows desktops and managing iPhones? In this talk, Brian Madden will sort it out, and talk about what you actually need to know, what really matters, and what you can ignore.

Brian Madden

Secure your VDI, For Real
. 1. Listen to some of the war stories of major attacks how easily they could have been prevented in so many cases.  The attack surface is constantly changing but with Citrix being the leader in Application and Desktop virtualization means it is the next target.
2. Learn how to secure your deployment with all the free things.  There are so many best practices from Citrix and Microsoft that can be easily applied to make your environment more secure (You don’t want to be on the news).  Within just a couple days to weeks most deployments could test and rollout these best practices for free.  We just want to help educate the Citrix admins out there that think just by Citrix'ing something or using PVS that their deployment secure.  A PVS'ed unpatched deployment is a hacker’s paradise.
3. Learn about the most common third-party tools that are used to lock down Citrix deployments. AV, Application Blocking and a couple other items.  This part will be brief because there are so many options.  We will go over NetScaler Application firewall and how it should be part of your security model for everything.
Products and Services
NetScaler WAF 11.x, XenDesktop and XenApp core7.x.  Microsoft best practices Windows 10,2012 R2 and Server 2016, SSL implementation overview and other trends and highlights in the security world that effect Citrix deployments.  We will also go into some high level overviews when it comes to AntiVirus vendors from Symantec, to Cylance.

Identifying and fixing issues to make your consumer browser suitable for the Enterprise. Today’s modern browsers are designed for use by the general public and not for the corporate environment. The browser developers target speed and usability for the home consumer market and not necessarily for the corporate enterprise. By manipulating the databases browsers use and identifying cookies and files they place in your profile, WebData Control gives you the ability to selectively retain the files your business requires and gives the users the optimal performance for the environments you’ve built. Avanite’s WebData technology makes the modern web browser more suitable for corporate environments and puts the control back in the hands of the IT professional.
